WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING
RCDs can save LIVES
Whenever a person touches a live part and gets shocked, then the RCDs immediately cut the electricity supply. When you install two or more RCDs then your property’s circuits are divided among them thus ensuring that even if only one RCD was functioning there would at least be some electricity. Appliances with low-level leakage currents cause nuisance operation, use multiple RCDs to avoid it.
The law demands it
The Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) make it mandatory for all the houses to have two or more RCDs protecting and connected to the power points and lighting circuits. It is required by law to abide by this regulation before you lease, rent, or sell your home. If RCDs are missing, then you need to hire licensed electrical contractors to install RCDs.
HOW TO TEST RCDs
All the RCDs comes with a pre-installed test button, which you should press every three months to verify that they are functioning properly. When you press the button, the RCD should immediately snap into the “off” position. You can move it to the “on” position after that. If it's not working you should immediately contact a licensed Perth electrician.
